Special applications. On request casing spacers can be manufactured in other types of plastic material according to the mechanical and temperature requirements of the application (i.e., Poly Propylene Casing Spacers or PP Casing Spacers, Plastic Injection Molding Spacers, Plastic Casing Spacers).
Raci Casing Spacers are categorized into three distinct groups: small, medium, and large. These categories are defined by the range of pipe sizes and weights they can accommodate, and each spacer within these groups has specific load-carrying capacities. The tables below outline these capacities, including a built-in safety factor. It’s crucial to take all these factors into account to select the most suitable spacer type for your application.
Distance between spacers must be calculated so the maximum load per spacer ring does not exceed the maximum load carrying capacity for the type used as shown in the tables. Maximum load per spacer is calculated based on the weight of the pipe filled with liquid divided by the number of spacer rings installed.
The maximum distance of 10 feet / 3 meters shall not be exceeded due to the danger of the pipe sagging between the spacers support points unless the pipe manufacturer states differently.

Spacer Extensions
When a higher element height is required, extensions are available in 146, 171, and 197 mm (5.75, 6.73 and 7.76 inches) heights. These extensions fit easily over the regular casing spacer projections. Contact a distributor for more information.
